The 1974-1975 SG STANDARD is a very attractive model, as it is different in appearance and specifications from the 1960s SGs that are often reissued.
The 3-piece mahogany neck with volute, before the change to a maple neck, has only a 39mm nut section, is slim and tapered, has an 18-fret set joint, which was the specification from around 1971 to 1978, and above all, has a wide travel bridge, which is particularly impressive looking. The wide travel bridge is particularly impressive.
The pickups are not visible from the front, but from the back, they are completely molded pickups with humbucking called "Super Humbucker". Although the name suggests a high-gain image, the sound is not that strong, and there is not much difference in sound from a normal humbucker.
The neck joint has been reinforced and the body crack has been repaired, but the frets and nut have been replaced, and the guitar is in good playing condition.
This is a lovely SG with many points of interest for those who have seen many different Gibson guitars.
