Here’s a fantastic sounding, easy playing Gibson A style mandolin from the Loar Era, with all the modern improvements — including adjustable truss rod and bridge, and the much desired “snakehead" headstock profile. This instrument sports a spruce top, maple back & sides and the popular black finish. The tone is rich and filled with those delightful overtones that are the hallmark of both A and F style instruments from this era. The mandolin is a joy to play with strings hovering a mere 3/32” off the fingerboard whose frets show minimal wear. The "Gibson" logo may have been added later at the factory.
