From the fabulous year of 1910 or possibly even late 1909, comes this lovely Gibson A-4, the top of their A-Model mandolin line. With its Ivoroid-bound top, back, and ebony fingerboard, original ebony bridge, very desirable abalone-inlaid Handel tuners (I actually met the very aged owner of the company that made them, back in 1964), white mother-of-pearl inlaid “The Gibson“ logo and pearl/abalone fleur-de-lys on the peghead, and original tortoise-type pickguard, this wonderful Gibson mandolin is in complete, remarkable, crack-free and repair-free original condition. No repairs ever needed, every seam totally intact, quite a rare thing right there. Original frets with very little wear, original script-logo tailpiece cover, still has its original hard shell case as well. Perfectly adjusted and set up here in our own workshop, ready to go. $2995 w/ohsc
