1919 Gibson A-4 "Sunburst"

This Gibson A-4 Model mandolin is in remarkable shape and has a sound that can only come from an instrument that has survived for over 100 years! A beautiful A-style mandolin, this instrument projects a dry and balanced tone that can cut trough any ensemble, making this a perfect for choice for everything from folk to bluegrass. The original pickguard has deteriorated and a small top crack has been professionally repaired but otherwise this mandolin is fully original and includes an original hardshell case. It features a "fleur-de-lis" headstock inlay with script "The Gibson" logo, bound fingerboard with a comfortable "V" neck shape, and a solid spruce top. An incredible sounding mandolin in fantastic shape for an instrument that has survived for over a century!
