Description

1937 Gibson Advanced Jumbo. 1937 catalogue, original strings, tortoise shell picks, cowboy cord, and red line case included. One of only 300 ever made. By Gibson’s own estimation, “The best flat top we ever made”. $50,000.

Tuners are the correct period open back Grovers; at one point strip tuners were fitted, but there was no routing, and the original tuners and bushings fit perfectly with little evidence of ever being off. The bridge and bridge plate are both reproductions. The back appears to have been off at some point. There is just a bit of finish touch up around the bridge.
