Description

2005 Gibson Advanced Jumbo Historic Collection is in excellent condition and perfect playing order. Comes with the original hardcase.

The nut was replaced with an aged TUSQ nut. Otherwise it's all original with no breaks, cracks, or repairs.

Constructed Bozeman, MT, from all solid woods. Bound sitka spruce top, bound Indian rosewood back and sides, mahogany nack, rosewood fretboard with 12" radius and 19 frets, mother of pearl diamond and arrow inlays, and a rosewood bridge with a bone saddle.

It's easy to see it's been well played and well loved, and the voice clearly reflects the amount of play it's seen. On the bass side lower bout's top edge is some rather unusual finish wear. It appears that the guitar was played for an extended period of time, time after time, and the player's inside forearm got quite hot and sweaty, causing it to look like it's been burned or melted. Being the guitar is finished in Nitrocellulose lacquer, the finish very susceptible to permanent marks and wear, because the Nitro lacquer is very soft and reactive to heat. There are a couple some spill stains on the top, running from just below the bridge to the treble side lower bout, and a couple on the bass side of the top near the end of the fretboard. As well as an 8" finish scuff on the bass side of the top, running from the waist towards the neck. On the top side edge of the beck of the headstock is a couple finish chips.

The back of the body has some small indentations, none of which break the finish and can only be seen in the proper lighting. There is a scrape in the binding of the bass side of back that took a small chip with it.

The frets have some minor divots on the first 5 frets, mostly under the B and high E string, and do not cause any playing issues. The back of the neck is free from any dings, dents, or impressions.

Has a 1 3/4" nut width, 25 1/2" scale length, and weighs 4 pounds 8 ounces.
