1967 B-25 / Gibson

Gibson's representative small-body model "B-25".
The B-25 was born in 1962 when the LG-2 underwent a minor change and was renamed the "B-25." In Japan, famous artists such as Tamio Okuda, Sugashicao, Gen Hoshino, and Hanana Uemura have used the B-25.

The color variations of the B-25 increased at the same time as its introduction.
Natural, sunburst, cherry sunburst (used on the LG-2 in 1961), and between 1967~1969, the range of choices expanded to include black, brown, and red.

The one introduced here is a brown sunburst B-25 made in 1967.
The brown color has become lighter with age, and the grain of the wood is faintly visible, which is indescribably cool.
The overall appearance of the guitar is excellent, with some checking visible.
The natural play marks are also very cool, and most importantly, the Gibson logo on the pickguard is still in place, which is a must for Gibson lovers.

The top is spruce, the sides and back are mahogany, and the adjustable saddle has been replaced with a saddle made of cocobolo wood.

In terms of sound, the crisp mid-range characteristics familiar from the J-45/J-50 are felt more strongly.
It responds well to the player's playing, so it is a good match for strong picking, such as stirring strokes and cutting.
However, when played gently on arpeggios, the vintage sound with its unique withered character is also very appealing.
