Description
Gibson's famous instrument used by famous Japanese artists
Gibson / 1968 B-25N
Gibson's representative small body model
It all started 120 years ago, back in 1902, with the introduction of the L-1.
In 1932, the L-00, the prototype of the B-25, was introduced,
In 1942, the L-00 was replaced by the LG-2 (sunburst) LG-3 (natural).
In 1962, LG-2 was renamed B-25, and in 1963, LG-3 was renamed B-25 Natural.
The difference in model names is classified by the presence or absence of coloring and the grade of wood.
This characteristic is similar to the relationship between the J-45 and J-50, which means that the natural top spruce was more costly because it was knot-free.
Since the introduction of the B-25 in 1962, there have been more variations in color and
Natural, sunburst, cherry sunburst (used for LG-2 in 1961), and between 1967 and 1969, black, brown, and red were available.
The specs are the same as Gibson's traditional flat top with spruce top and mahogany body.
In terms of sound, the crisp mid-range image familiar from the J-45 and J-50 is retained, while the 14 1/8"-wide body is about 2 inches smaller and the bass component is more subdued, and the X-bracing makes the Gibson character stand out even more. The X-bracing gives the impression of a more pronounced Gibson sound.
The neck and wood have been inspected and adjusted by a professional acoustic guitar craftsman and are in excellent condition in all areas.
The neck has been straightened and adjusted with no chatter or blockage, and the string height at the 12th fret is optimally set at 2.2 mm on the 6th string side and 2.0 mm on the 1st string side.
The Brazilian rosewood fingerboard has the original medium jumbo frets, which are comfortable to play with no partial fret loss.
The body is also non-cracked and has no repair marks, and has survived various environments, with only weather checks and a few dents that show the age of the instrument.
The sound of this vintage guitar is very attractive, which asserts its individuality without interfering with vocals or other instruments.
