For your consideration a 1942 Gibson “Banner” LG-2 with a Sunburst top and Rare figured Maple back and sides! It’s getting harder and harder to score vintage guitars, let alone “Banner” Gibsons! To make matters rarer this one features wonderful figured Maple back and sides! Brazilian rosewood bridge. Excellent condition frets (refret)! No cracks in the body! And easily every players favorite part, a fantastic 3 piece maple neck with perfectly checked finish! Extremely comfortable and nearly impossible to replicate! Beautiful vintage Gibson tone with that wonderful LG body!

Specs!

This guitar is in good condition and comes with its original soft shell case. Pick guard lifting. 24-3/4″ scale length. It has had a refret and the 19 Vintage size frets are in Excellent condition. 1-3/4″ bone nut, shimmed. Original nickel plated brass tuners. Three piece maple neck with a depth of .99″ (1st fret) and 1.25″ (12th fret). Stained Gumwood fingerboard with a 12″ radius (war time rationing). Spruce top with a Sunburst finish, rare Figured Maple back and sides with a dark stain finish. The Brazilian rosewood bridge has been reglued. Bone saddle. Original maple bridge plate with newer screws. Non-original ebony bridge pins. Weighs 4 pounds and 4 ounces
