1944 Gibson LG-2 Maple!
Hold…Very clean MAPLE-body Gibson Banner LG-2 from c. 1944. Hard to find Banner LG-2’s in this condition. The condition is quite nice. Totally original with no cracks or repairs whatsoever. The sunburst finish is very vibrant. There is some finish checking but it’s a nice honest nearly 80-year old Gibson flattop. The fingerboard has a couple small splits as shown. There are some light scratches here and there as shown.
The neck is a baseball bat profile that is very chunky. The guitar sounds truly excellent. Very open and woody. The action is nice and very playable. Not a lot of saddle left so at some point a neck reset will come into play but for now it plays nicely. Comes with the original case as shown. If you are looking one of the better LG-2’s out there, get a clean Maple one!
