1946 Gibson BR-6 Excellent, Original Soft, $1,395.00

The variations just seem to never end on these Gibson lap steels and if I ever get it totally straight as to BR-this-or-that-means BR-what, I’ll give myself an award. Anyway, this one's got the ultra-cool older script logo decal; HUGE LOUD pre-P-90 pickup with six individual magnets as pole pieces and tortoiseshell cover; slightly rounded neck (unusual); clear Plexi pickup/control mounting plate and handguard with cream-colored undercoat; original clear control knobs; original tuners with a couple of new buttons; cool laminated jack plate that appears top be a replacement, as they always seem to be, and no matter. Incredibly hot and gig ready. Original soft case, sorta coming apart. $1395 w/xossc
