This 2001 Gibson SG Gothic serial number 01381620 is in very good condition, neck and frets are fine, cosmetically there are some nicks and marks” about the body, mostly on the outer edges of the lower bout. These guitars had an extremely limited production run between 2000 and 2002 the overall number produced are small. Featuring the traditional SG double cutaway mahogany body and mahogany neck with 22 frets and a 24 ¾” scale length, the nut width is 1 21/32" (Gibson brands states 1 11/16” which would equal 1 22/32" (we like to be precise!).
The ebony fingerboard is adorned with only a half-moon and star inlay at 12th fret, all black chrome hardware includes a tune-o-matic bridge/stop tailpiece, 3 per side tuners, black pickguard, 490R rhythm and 490T treble uncovered humbucking pickups, 2 volume/tone controls, three-way switch and all finished in satin black with a photo of Orville Gibson on the back of the headstock. If you are an SG fan, or have a“Darkside” of your alter-ego, this is a guitar for you. Interesting guitar at a nice price point.
