1978 Gibson Byrdland "Sunburst"

Initially conceived with input from renowned country session legends Hank Garland and Billy Byrd, the Gibson Byrdland combines the warmth and elegance of a traditional archtop electric with a comfortable short-scale neck and narrow nut width. This combination lead to the Byrdland finding favor with everyone from John McLaughlin to Ted Nugent. This 1978 model has an unfaded "sunburst" finish with gold hardware, ebony fingerboard, and beautifully flamed maple body. The original pickguard has largely deteriorated but is included along with a newer replacement. A small hairline crack in the top has also been professionally repaired. A great playing guitar, these were made very sparingly in the Norlin years and don't show up in this condition often!
