Description

EX++, classical guitar. Brazilian rosewood back and sides. In all of guitardom there are few things as rare as the C8. In 1966 Gibson shipped a total of 17 of these (that same year they sold 47 Flamenco models...go figure) and they made 2,146 of the cheapest C0 classical. All solid wood with Sitka spruce over the aforementioned Brazilian body, Brazilian fingerboard and bridge - and the bridge has pearl blocks inlaid so you know it's deluxe. The fingerboard looks like ebony but it's high-grade Brazilian on a mahogany neck. These were expensive back in the day. The tone has a deep growl. If you've wanted a cool classical to write with or use in the studio, this one is pretty hip...and it never had any gigs so no cracks , only light finish checking, and a few scratches as seen in photos. A 54 year-old classic (see what we did there?), comes in newer hard case.
