1956 Gibson CF-100E Tobacco Sunburst

Up for sale, this fabulous sounding 1956 Gibson CF100E. Original factory P-90 pickup at the end of the fingerboard provides a beautiful rounded tone, but its natural acoustic tone is just as great.

Original saddle. Replaced tuners (later period Kluson Deluxe tuners). A replaced Volume pot and knob. Non-original hardcase. In good vintage condition with considerable playing wear but nothing egregious. Original tobacco burst finish looks marvelous.

Stamped “Made in the USA” which indicates this was probably made for export as the US market models typically weren’t stamped. FON is V37138.

Just a marvelous playing and sounding instrument which we can’t seem to put down. Buy it before we decide to keep it!
