It's hard to beat the sound of a flat top from Gibson's golden era, and this 1961 Country & Western is a perfect example. With a beautiful mahogany back and sides, solid spruce top, and the earlier rounded shoulder body design, this guitar has the perfect combination of tonewoods for the distinctive Gibson tone that have made these the preferred guitars of so many players and songwriters over the years. This exceptionally clean example features a slim, fast playing '61 neck profile with a beautiful rosewood fingerboard, split block inlays, and a huge sound that sits perfectly in any ensemble. This guitar has been well maintained and is one of the best examples we've seen. It includes the original faux-alligator case.
