2019 Gibson Custom '58 Les Paul Reissue VOS 8.25 lbs! Red Pine Burst
We are very selective about the LP's we offer in our inventory. If they aren't extremely special, you won't find them here. Offered here for your consideration is a very special '58 Les Paul VOS built in 2019.
The key stats on this beautiful instrument include a weight of just 8.25 pounds (8 pounds, 4 ounces) and neck depth measurements of .91" - 1.01". It features all of the Custom Shop's best build techniques, including: full hide glue construction; extra long neck tenon; unpotted Custombucker Alnico III humbuckers; aged cellulose nitrate fingerboard inlays; 6105 fret wire; 12" fretboard radius; etc. It has a lovely and highly figured book-matched Maple top and and Gibson's very light VOS aging patina. The pickguard and pickup covers were added to give it a '59 LP look.
Despite the hundreds of used LP Reissues that are available on the market at anytime, this particular '58 stood out to me. It's fabulous flame top, relatively unique finish color ( Red Pine Burst) and incredibly light weight spoke to me. Better yet, it plays and sounds like the killer LP Reissue that it is. The neck is just a touch below average in size for a '58 and it feels super. The Custombuckers sound fabulous too. Just check out the sound sample below. To my ear, the tone of this '58 kicks butt!
The light VOS factory aging aside, this guitar shows little evidence of play and the narrow-tall frets appear spotless (see pics). It comes in its original brown Lifton-style case, also like new, along with the certificate of authenticity and tags; everything you would get with a new one. A nicely figured, light weight LP Reissue at a great price. Make it yours!

Shipments to locations within the State of New York are subject to imposition of applicable New York Sales taxes. Trade proposals involving quality gear are welcomed! Email me a pic or two of your proposed trade and a brief description of its condition and we will let you know what we can allow you in trade. We also do LAYAWAYS! All layaways require a non-refundable up-front payment equal to 20% of the purchase price. Your deposit holds the guitar for you, with 60 days to pay the balance. Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. A phone number at the shipping destination is required. Other shipping services, including express services and international shipping are available at our discretion, just contact us for a quote.
Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
