2014 Gibson Custom Chambered '58 Les Paul Lemonburst Gloss, Excellent, Original Hard, $3,999.00
I love Les Pauls, but as I've gotten older, I just cannot deal with the weight of the "typical" LP. Further, I do not subscribe to the opinion that chambered LP's inherently have poor tone, or that an LP has to weigh over such and such a weight to sound good. In fact, some of the best sounding Lesters I've ever heard or played were chambered models (IMHO) and they certainly resonate better. In any event, I tend to look for great LP's that are also light in weight.
Offered here is one superb and very light (7.5 pounds with the plastic rear control cover in place) 2014 model chambered '58 Les Paul Reissue. The neck on this one is below average for a '58 measuring .910" deep at the first fret, increasing to .980" at the twelfth fret with moderate shoulders. The gloss (not VOS) Lemon Burst top is gorgeous and shows nice figuring. As a 2014 model, this guitar of course has all the improvements Gibson made in the 2013 and later guitars: the use of hot hide glue to fit the long tenon neck joint; more accurate aniline dyes and binding material; lighter but non-weight-relieved bodies; the new and better sounding 'Custom Bucker' pickups; no surround on the truss rod, and so on. These improvements do make a difference.
This guitar is setup nicely with .10's and it plays like 'butta.' The tone is fat and woody. Listen to the provided sound sample and I trust you will agree.
This instrument has seen only light play and is in excellent plus condition. Just a few very hard to find shirt button scuffs on the back and a few pick scuffs on the chrome pickup covers all you will find in the way of flaws, and you will really have to look for them. The frets show no observable wear. It comes in it's original and mint Lifton style brown case, along with the certificate of authenticity and hang tags.
I am very fussy about the guitars I choose for our inventory. If you want a superb, 2014 spec LP reissue at a great price and you want it LIGHT, this guitar is worthy of your consideration. Make it yours!

Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery.
