Gibson Custom Shop 2017 Historic Collection 1958 Les Paul Junior Double Cut Lightly Aged
This is the "1958 Les Paul Junior DC Lightly Aged" model, produced in limited quantities.
Based on the "Collector's Choice #19," this model has a slightly rounded, chamfered body shape, a more vintage-like pickguard, control knobs, and other plastic parts. Although there are no weather checks, the body edges have been aged to reproduce fine paint peeling and dents, resulting in a very realistic finish.
The neck has a thick, sturdy shape typical of the '58 model, with a single P-90 pickup and simple controls (1Vol/1Tone).
The strap pin has been moved to the cutaway (the screw hole in the original position is still there), and there are some dents and scratches throughout the body that are not by the aging treatment.
The frets are not dented, about 80~90% remaining overall, and there are no problems with the neck and truss rod operation.
There is a slight tobacco smell.
