This 2003 Gibson Custom Shop 54 Reissue Les Paul Custom is in excellent to near mint cosmetic condition. This instrument shows almost no signs of play wear throughout with the exception of some faint pick scratches on the pickguard and two or three extremely tiny marks on the back of the body that wouldn’t show up in the photos and are very hard to see in person as well. This Les Paul is exceptionally tidy and has been very well cared for over the years. This guitar was a limited run of 54 Reissue Les Paul Customs that were ordered with a Faded Cherry finish by Dave’s Guitar Shop and sold for a short time in 2003. This finish is extremely vibrant, attractive and has just the right amount of fade on the top - a truly stunning instrument. This guitar features a big chunky Gibson 50s style neck profile with a nice round back carve and a 1 11/16” nut width. This neck is exceptionally comfortable in the hand and easy to play. The fret wire on this guitar is in excellent condition and looks virtually unplayed. There are no divots, flat spots or real play wear to speak of. This guitar has been professionally set up and it plays outstanding up and down the fingerboard with low smooth action and spot on intonation. The electronics are original are in perfect working order and haven’t been tampered with in any way. Both pickups sound superb and are very balanced together. This guitar sounds fantastic clean or overdriven and delivers very articulate yet woody tones that are suitable for most styles of music. This guitar is housed in its original hard shell case for safe travels and the original Gibson COA is included. If you are after an absolutely gorgeous looking, sounding and playing Les Paul Custom, this limited 54 reissue is an incredible example.
