Description
Up for sale is a RAD 2011 Gibson Custom Shop Wildwood Spec '54 Reissue Les Paul in a hard to find Ember Red Gloss finish. The finish has a total "Fiesta Red" vibe and we all absolutely adore it. This one has a chunky 50s neck profile that measures .909 @ 1st and 1.009 @ 12th. A previous owner made a number of modifications to this guitar which include: 1954 P90 in the bridge position and 1957 P90 in the neck. The neck pickup bobbin has been replaced with a rewind by Dave Stephens of Stephens Design. It is reverse wound / reverse polarity so the guitar is hum canceling in the middle position. Pots are replaced with CTS super-pots for volume and CTS audio-taper pots for tone, caps have been replaced with 50s vintage Sprague bumble-bees, the knobs are actual vintage speed knobs, the bridge studs and bushings have been replaced with Pigtail 50s replicas and the bridge itself is a Mojo-Axe compensated wrap-tail.

Cosmetically this guitar has been played and played and has the wear and tear to show it. Dings, dents, scratches, fret-wear and play wear. The edge of the bass side ear is broken off the wrap-around tailpiece. It still functions as it should but is noteworthy. If you are looking for a minty as new CS LP this is not the guitar for you. If you are looking for a killer custom shop in a unique color with a mix of upgraded and vintage parts this is THE ONE FOR YOU. Plays great and comes with an extremely worn Gibson Custom Shop case. No COA with this one.
