Celebrating sixty years of passionate craftsmanship and iconic design, Replay Guitar Exchange proudly brings to you the Gibson 60th Anniversary 1960 Les Paul Standard V1 VOS electric guitar, authentically and painstakingly crafted from the Gibson Custom Shop to perfectly replicate its ancestors of the past that helped define the golden era of rock 'n' roll. Shaping the face of electric music across six decades, the Custom Shop Les Paul truly defines what makes Gibson such a thunderous and trustworthy company capable of producing some of the best guitars in the modern world of music — right down to the most minute and meticulous details from the 1960s.
This Les Paul features an absolutely stunning two-piece figured maple top on a one-piece lightweight solid mahogany body, colored in a killer and intriguing Antiquity Burst, with a tasteful cream pickguard and tried-and-true nickel hardware. Designed to Vintage Old Stock specs, the solid mahogany neck has a V1 authentic '59 medium C-shape, with a perfectly smooth Indian rosewood fingerboard on top, sporting twenty-two medium jumbo frets and a nylon nut with aged cellulose nitrate trapezoid inlays.
The tone is a massive and powerful take on the classic VOS dynamic, thanks to the dual Custombucker Alnico III unpotted humbucker pickups, which take your striking and stage-thirsty sound to the next level. It can be mixed and matched into your special tone of choosing by adjusting the installed dual volume and dual tone controls, complete with CTS 500K Audio Taper potentiometers, and topped off with paper-in-oil capacitors. Other vintage appointments include a no-wire ABR-1 bridge, a lightweight aluminum stop bar, Kluson single-line tuners and a set of amber butyrate top hats with silver inserts.
