Gibson Custom Shop 2015 Historic Collection 1965 Firebird V VOS
The "Firebird V VOS" model is a reproduction based on the 1965 specificatons.
Designed by the automotive designer Ray Dietrich, it was the first Gibson model to feature a through-neck construction, which provides rich sustain. It has a 9-ply mahogany and walnut neck with glued mahogany wings.
The "V" features two mini hambuckers, a Maestro vibrato and dish inlays.
The neck has a rounded shape that is slightly thicker, and the pickups are the original two mini humbuckers.
The nut has been replaced.
Overall, there is discoloration, as well as several large and small dents and peeling paint on the back edge. There are also several scuffs on the body top around the knobs, several scuffs and pockmarks on the body back, as well as on the sides and ends of the body.
There are no dents in the frets and about 70% remaining. The neck and truss rod are in good working order.
