Straight from the Gibson Custom Shop and brought here to Replay Guitar Exchange is this outstanding Gibson 1954 Les Paul Goldtop Reissue VOS electric guitar, complete in a Double Gold color with nickel hardware. This American-built Les Paul takes all of the amazing design choices of the mid-fifties and painstakingly re-creates them into a modern guitar with a vintage-style, bringing everything you know and love about Gibson craftsmanship into a beastly guitar.
The 1954 Les Paul Goldtop features a wonderful two-piece plain maple top slapped on a mahogany solidbody, with a classic VOS nitrocellulose lacquer finish as well as a mahogany chunky C-profile neck that closely resembles the feeling of the original specs. A smooth Indian rosewood fingerboard is mounted on top, complete with twenty-two narrow tall-shaped frets for extra, elevated Gibson playability and action.
Installed is a pair of Custombucker Soapbar P90 humbuckers, producing a classic and killer vintage tonality, shapeable by two volume controls and two tone controls, as well as a three-way toggle switch. A wraparound bridge keeps your intonation perfect, while a set of Kluson single-line tuners keeps your tuning tight.
