2015 Gibson Custom Shop Memphis Es-339 Cherry

Summary: The Gibson ES-339 electric guitar draws from a multitude of sources to comprise its build: a shape similar to that of the ES-335 with a smaller body size closer to a Les Paul. The ES-339 was designed to offer the fuller sound of a semi-hollow but with the comfort and playability of a solidbody guitar. Sometimes called the Gibson Memphis ES-339, this electric was built in Gibson's Memphis Custom Shop and sports Gibson's Memphis Tone Circuit and ’57 Classics. This one is in great shape and has been recently setup and restrung by our in-house luthier. This fabulous Gibson comes with the original hardshell case but there is no paperwork or COA included.

Body: Small bodied semi-hollow with a nice Cherry finish and cream binding.

Neck: This Gibson has a fully bound rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, pearl dots, 24 ¾” scale length and 1 11/16” nut width. The back of the neck has some wear that you can feel when you move up & down but it doesn’t affect the playability of the guitar.

Pickups/Hardware: It has 2 ’57 Classic Humbuckers, 3 way toggle, 2 volumes, 2 tones and Gibson Deluxe tuners with green keystone pegs.

Cosmetics: This guitar does have normal signs of play-wear such as pick scratching on the pickguard and on the top of the guitar, several small dings on the top, several dents and creases in the back of the neck, lots of buckle rash on the back & a few dings on the side of the guitar. The frets are in good shape & have plenty of life left in them.

Playability: Our in-house luthier has just inspected, set up and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s and it is playing beautifully with low action and a straight neck. The frets are in great shape with no grooves or divots.
