2016 Gibson Custom Shop Standard Historic 1959 Les Paul Standard VOS Heritage Cherry Sunburst
The 2016 Standard Historic 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue Hand Select is now in stock.
It has the same specs as the Historic Collection as of 2014, including a tubeless truss rod, Custom Bucker pickups, long studs, and glued neck and fretboard with nikawa.
The pickups are equipped with E-Bucker. This pickup has a slightly lower output than the Custom Bucker that has been the standard in recent Custom Shop models. This gives it a clearer vintage tone.
This model has already been discontinued, so if you are looking for a Standard Historic from this period, please consider this opportunity!
Condition
There are no major scratches, but there are a few buckle scratches.
Each control knob has a crack.
The aniline die, which is unique to the Custom Shop, is slightly smudged on the clear surface.
There is enough room on the truss rod.
About 90% frets remaining.
