Offered is this fresh, just out of the box, 2016 Standard Historic '58 Les Paul VOS in Sunrise Tea Burst. The Standard Historic line has been reintroduced for 2016 in response to the demands of those who couldn't swing Gibson's much more expensive 'True Historic' Les Pauls which came out in 2015. Don't be fooled by the name, as there is nothing "standard" about Gibson's 'Standard Historics'. These guitars have all the great features that Gibson put into production starting in 2013, including, but not limited to, a long neck tenon; hot hide glue neck construction; hand-sprayed nitro lacquer; Custom Bucker pickups and much, much more.
I picked this guitar for our inventory because of it's very light weight (8.0 pounds), great tone and it's superb top. The neck on this beast measures .95" at the first fret and 1.02" at the twelfth fret. It plays like butter and sounds like an LP should; fat, thick and woody!
This guitar was built in January, 2016 and is brand new condition. This is a VOS format guitar, so it has a light factory applied patina to give it a broken-in feel, but otherwise this guitar is in mint condition and has only been played for brief testing purposes. It comes in it's original Lifton-style repro case, with the certificate of authenticity and all the other paperwork.
A new example of this guitar will cost $4,699 but you can have this mint, as new example for quite a bit less and you aren't likely to find one that is more beautiful, lighter in weight, plays better, or and has better LP tone than this example. Make it yours!

Shipments to locations within the State of New York are subject to imposition of applicable New York Sales taxes. Trade proposals involving quality gear are welcomed! Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. A phone number at the shipping destination is required. Other shipping services, including express services and international shipping are available at our discretion, just contact us for a quote.
Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
