Offered here is easily one of the finest Gibson LP's you are likely to find, a 2015 Gibson Custom Shop True Historic '59 Les Paul Reissue. These True Historics were built to be a close as possible to the originals. With their hand-wet-sanded, historically accurate finishes, this model is no longer being manufactured because of their high production costs. Even better, this example was one of a limited number aged at the factory by famed Gibson finish specialist, Tom Murphy. And if that wasn't enough, this example is equipped with the best aftermarket PAF-style pickups made today, a set of Throbak SLE-101 MXV's!
This guitar was built in October, 2015 to full True Historic specs. It has a period-accurate C-shaped neck with moderate shoulders and depth measurements of .94" at the first fret and 1.01" at the twelfth fret. It weighs an incredibly light 8.0 pounds with the plastic rear control cavity cover in place (as opposed to the metal True Historic medallion, both of which are included of course). Les Paul Reissues this light in weight are few and far between!
As mentioned, the original Gibson Custombucker pickups, as fabulous as they are, were replaced by the original owner of this instrument with a new set of Throbaks PAF style humbuckers, thought by many to be the best HB pickups currently available at any price. Collings Guitars thinks enough of Throbaks to offer them as an upgrade on their electric guitars. In any event, the original Custombucker pickups are also included should you decide you want to return the guitar to original spec. Once you hear these Throbaks in action, however, you will likely never consider doing so.
With it's True Historic build specs, Murphy aging, it's super-light weight, the Throbak pickups and it's drop dead gorgeous Dirty Lemonburst flame top, this has to be one of the finest Gibson LP Reissues I have ever had the luxury to play and offer for sale. Other than the Murphy aging, this guitar shows nothing in the way of flaws and the frets are in close to new condition. It comes in it's original Lifton-style reissue case with the certificates for both the guitar and the Throbak pickups, along with the original Custombucker pickups.
When it was available, a True Historic '59 LP Reissue with Murphy aging cost $11K, not including the $600 Throbaks with this guitar. Even at that price, few of those made were as light as this gorgeous example. Get this fabulous LP for thousands less. This is an LP that is sure to please.....

Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery.
