1965! The year of……..well, everything, for some. Lessee……… The Beatles release “Help!”, also play Shea Stadium in New York to a wild crowd; Gemini space program created; Voting Rights march in Selma, Alabama; Ali knocks out Sonny Liston; St. Louis Arch makes its debut; Mini-skirt makes its debut(!); The Byrds usher in the era of folk-rock with huge hit of Bob Dylan’s "Mr Tambourine Man”; Sarah Jessica Parker is born. Well, some of this stuff is more significant than others but we do note that this fabulous Gibson Dove guitar was made, and has survived, beautifully and unscathed, for over fifty years now. Not very many of them still around that no one has done silly things to, or that play as fabulously well as this one, and so here it is. All the 1960s Gibson tone, and all the 1960s Gibson cool, and still has its original Gibson hard shell case too. And for the record, it’s got that wonderful-feeling, slightly wider and just a wee bit shallower neck contour, just doesn’t get much better.
