Introduced in 1961, the Gibson EB-3 is based on the earlier model, the EB-O with an SG-type body shape.

The EB-3 then offered a Humbucker in the neck position, and a mini Humbucker in the bridge position.

Also with the addition of a 4-position selector, allowing you to switch from one microphone to another, or to operate both.
There are also two volume and two tone knobs.

The Gibson EB-3 has been released in various finishes, such as Polaris White, Pelham Blue, Walnut or Ebony.

The model has undergone some changes over the years, such as the neck pickup capo which changed from black plastic to chrome metal in 1962, the hardware which was changed in 1964/5, or the microphone which was moved in 1972 to be slightly closer to the easel.

Production ceased in 1979, with a total of 14,167 instruments having been built.

The model is still produced afterwards but under the name Epiphone to be discontinued in early 2020.

Guitare Collection presents this beautiful Gibson EB-3, in natural finish, from 1974, delivered in its original hardcase.

A legendary bass, which has been appreciated by many renowned musicians, including Trevor Bolder, bassist to David Bowie during the "Ziggy Stardust and the spiders form March" era.

A perfectly functioning bass, with a setting made by our resident luthier, which brings even more playability.
