In the world of vintage guitars, nothing beats finding an instrument for which the full history is accounted. Such is the case with this truly unique, custom ordered Gibson EBSF-1250 from 1966. Acquired directly from the original owner, this guitar was originally purchased brand new by The Strat-0-tones; a family band of three brothers and two sisters from Ace music in Miami, Florida and paid off in installments. The band worked constantly playing countless gigs in Miami hotels to pay off this extraordinary Gibson instrument made specifically for their needs. The double neck bass/guitar design and sunburst finish is rare enough, but to make this instrument truly special, the bass half was custom ordered with a Gibson fuzztone circuit direct from the factory! This new sound was all the rage in 1966 so was a timely request when ordering an instrument that could do it all. This incredible find comes with the original case, as well a photo of the band with the guitar, and a letter from the original owner detailing its remarkable history. After the band dissolved, this instrument was kept in the case under the owner's bed for decades, leaving it in fantastic condition. Everything is fully functional and performs as well as it did on the Miami bandstands of the 60's! A true piece of Gibson guitar history and a fantastic story, this would make a stand-out addition to any collection!
