Offered for sale;

Used 2001 Gibson EDS-1275 serial number 02841587.

This guitar is in excellent condition. The necks and frets are fine, cosmetically showing some light pick scratches on the pickguard, overall quite clean.

The roots of the double neck guitar actually go back quite a bit further than the Gibson models that are most commonly familiar. Double necks were “born” in the early 50’s and were favorites of many country music players. One of the earliest built by Paul Bigsby featured a standard 6-string neck on the bottom, and a 5-string mandolin neck on top.

The Gibson EDS-1275 is certainly the most iconic. This 6-string/12-string combo was produced in small quantities from 1958 until production ceased in 1968. Originally a thinline hollowbody, this model was redesigned in late 1962 to look more like a contemporary SG.

In 1974, Gibson started making the guitar again, in a number of additional colors, with production lasting until 1998. Since then, alpine white and heritage cherry versions were made by Gibson USA in Nashville, Tennessee, until 2003, in the Nashville Custom Shop from 2004 to 2005, and in the Memphis, Tennessee, Custom Shop beginning in 2006.

The EDS-1275 has been one of the iconic solid bodies of all time. Significant recordings including Stairway to Heaven, Hotel California, Inner Mounting Flame played by Jimmy Page, Don Felder, John McLaughlin and many more.

Own what’s been called “The coolest guitar in rock”.

Original hard-shell case included.

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every
mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be
important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.

This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.

*It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.

If you prefer your item to be sent without a required signature Imperial Guitar and the selected carrier can no longer be responsible for the security of the package once it has been delivered.
