Good condition featuring symmetrical maple body with dark stain finish, bound top with sunburst finish, blade pickup with white rectangular housing, one volume control and one tone control with black and brown knobs with arrow engravings, metal bridge, mahogany neck, Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, raised metal nut, black peghead face with stenciled script Gibson logo, open gear tuning machines with white plastic buttons, and serial number impressed into the back of the peghead.

This 1938 Gibson EH-100 is a pleasure to play. Though it shows signs of water damage along the rim (see photos), the instrument is in otherwise good condition. Handling everything from clean C6th sounds to overdriven rock tones, this steel guitar is quite versatile. If you are looking for a player’s EH-100 at a player’s price, this example may just be the one for you.
