2002 Gibson ES-135 Tobacco Sunburst
Here's one of the more versatile guitars in Gibson's arsenal- the ES-135. I can't seem to decide if it makes me lean more toward an ES-175 or 335. Whether playing Rock, Jazz, or Country, this guitar easily slips into any genre of music and can clean up nicely or get as dirty as you want to get. An added bonus is that it weighs in at less than most Les Pauls you'll ever pick up, so it's quite easy on the shoulders.
The neck is straight, with no dead spots or buzzing. The twin humbuckers are clear, articulate, and well-balanced. The finish and color are top shelf and this guitar was obviously made during what many consider Gibson's better years. You'll find some light swirl marks on the front and back, but you will have to look under the reflection of an overhead light to find them. This one has been very well taken care of over the last 21 years and we're always grateful to see that when one of these beauties comes into the shop.
The case is clean and structurally sound, with the combination latch being broken off, but the other latches working properly.
