Description

Summary: The ES-150 DC was
similar to the popular ES-335TD in many ways, but with a thicker body front to
back and only a small sound post by the neck instead of a full block running
down the middle of the guitar. This hollowbody used maple for its body with a mahogany
neck. This particular guitar is a very
rare original left handed model in a wonderful walnut finish in good vintage
condition with the original hard-shell case.

Body:  Semi-hollow double cutaway full body with
fully bound maple top & back. This
instrument is 16” wide at the lower bout, 3” deep.

Neck:
Fully bound mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard,
block pearloid inlays, 24.75” scale length, 1 9/16” nut width, 22 frets, Gibson
Deluxe vintage style tuning keys.

Pickups/Hardware:  2 T-Top Gibson humbucker pickups, 1 master
volume knob, 2 pickup volume knobs, 2 tone knobs, 3-way switch, Gibson Deluxe
tuning keys, trapeze tailpiece, adjustable saddle, Gibson Crown logo, raised
5-ply pickguard.

Cosmetics: This guitar shows
normal wear consistent with a well-loved and played Gibson from the late 1960’s. There are some dings & nicks on the top
& the whole guitar shows lots of cool checking. There is wear around the edges of the f-holes
and the headstock, but overall this baby is in good shape & ready to be
played and loved.

Playability:
This vintage Gibson plays great – we restrung it
with 10’s and the action is low, the neck is straight & the guitar plays
strong up & down the fingerboard. The
frets do show some wear but they have some life left in them.

Modifications: When we bought
this guitar the pots were all frozen so we replaced all of the pots, wiring &
the 3-way switch. The original pickup
covers have been removed by a previous owner and are no longer with the guitar.

Weight: 6 lbs, 15 oz.

Case: Original hard-shell case with yellow/gold interior.
