Introduced in 1949, The ES-175 has become one of Gibson's most popular hollowbody designs. This beautiful 1950 example sports a rare and desirable "Blonde" finish that perfectly compliments the dark Brazilian rosewood board and "Split parolellogram" inlays. The single "Dog Ear" P90 pickup can go from smooth and mellow to snarling and aggressive, while the great playing neck is a perfect example of why 50's Gibson necks are so often imitated. This guitar also includes nickel hardware and early 50's tall "barrel" knobs, A great playing guitar as well suited for traditional jazz as for raunchy rock n' roll.
