Description

Summary: Introduced in 1959 to replace the discontinued ES-225, the 330 features the silhouette of the iconic 335, but is fully hollow and equipped with two punchy P90s. This particular guitar has a wonderful, nicely aged Cherry Red finish and it will ship in a non-original hard shell TKL guitar case.

Body: Thin-body, double cutaway, fully hollow maple-ply. Bound arched top and back. F-holes. Cherry sunburst nitrocellulose finish. 16″ across lower bout.

Neck: Mahogany set neck with bound rosewood fingerboard. The neck joins the body at 19th fret. This instrument has wonderful small block pearloid inlays. 24 ¾” scale length. 1 9/16” nut width. Gibson Deluxe tuning keys.

Pickups/Hardware: Two dog ear P90 pickups. Three way pickup selector. Two volume and two tone controls with top hat reflector knobs. Chrome covers and hardware. ABR bridge with replacement brass saddles. Trapeze tail piece. Original Gibson Deluxe tuning keys with green tulip buttons.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition. It has a beautiful cherry finish with wonderful checking all over the body. The binding has yellowed nicely and evenly – the binding is fully in-tact but there is a slight separation on the upper bout on the top of the guitar. There are various nicks & dings in the body & the back of the instrument does show buckle rash. All wear is consistent with a well-loved but played vintage guitar from the 1970’s.

Playability: This Gibson has recently been set up with a new set of 10’s – the action is low & comfortable & the instrument plays great up & down the fingerboard.

Mods/Repairs: There is no label inside the guitar, replacement brass saddles

Weight: 6 lbs, 1 oz

Case: This vintage Gibson ES-330 comes with a TKL hard shell case with plush red interior. We ship guitars fully insured through Reverb.com!
