DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is an exceptionally fine 1961 Gibson ES-330 TD in its original sunburst finish. This instrument came directly to us from the original owner who attempted to learn to play in his late teens and put the guitar in the closet where it sat for over almost 60 years. Features of this model include a double cutaway fully hollow body, nickel hardware, 1 11/16th nut width with slim 1961 neck profile and dual black covered dog-ear P90 pickups. This instrument is in remarkable condition showing only light finish wear and virtually no play wear. The neck has a very, very slight back-bow as there was no string tension on this one for a large majority of its life and therefore the truss rod is back off. That said, the guitar plays great up and down the neck with no issues. Two saddles have been replaced on the original ABR-1 bridge and one of the tuning keys was replaced with a double line Kluson, I imagine early in the guitars life. Otherwise this one is 100% original and comes complete with its original black / yellow lined Lifton case and some incredibly preserved original case candy. Wow!!
