Description

Here we have a circa 1966 Gibson ES-330 TDC for your consideration. Cherry Red finish with double-bound body, all wonderfully aged by the hands of time. Subtle and attractive finish checking. A few scattered micro-dings and light scratches that are hard to see unless you look really close. A section of the headstock overlay has been reglued and there is normal edgewear on the top corners of the headstock. A couple of shallow chips to the back of the neck between the first and second frets and one below the edge of the neck binding. All the binding is intact and nicely aged. This is a sharp looking guitar.

Basic Specs: Replaced tuners. Now has Grover Rotomatics. 1 9/16 inch original nylon nut. Mahogany neck with a 24.75 inch scale length. Neck depth of .82 inches at the first fret and .98 inches at the twelfth fret. Bound Rosewood fingerboard with block inlays (we re-glued a couple of them) and 22 frets (showing some wear but still quite playable). Original Chrome-covered P-90 pickups. Pots and wiring appear to be original. Gibson ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles. Trapeze tailpiece. 5-ply pickguard.

With the exception of the changed tuners and the minor repairs mentioned above, this lovely ES-330 TDC is totally original. It has the look and feel that we know and love from mid-60s Gibsons. Grab this one while you can.
