What's the best year for ES-335's? Well, there are two. The best ones are right on the cusp of 58 and 59. From late 58 to around the Spring of 59, ES-335's had the thinner top of the 58 but had the better neck angle of the 59. This one escaped the factory with big frets like a 59 (probably one of the first). This guitar is all original except for replaced tuner tips (Uncle Lou's) which is almost mandatory for 59's and not uncommon in 58. Finish shows no checking and barely a mark on it. There are assorted little dings on the face of the headstock and one on the back of the neck but thats it. Sealed PAFs. This is probably the cleanest 58 I've seen. Killer tone and playability. Big fat round neck. Weighs just 7 lbs 13 ounces. This guitar comes with all of the tags and case candy. Original brown Stone of Brooklyn case. This one previously belonged to Joe Bonamassa.
