Description

This is probably around the 90th 1959 ES-335 I've had and it's the only one of its kind. It's a mid year with a big neck and is in 9 minus condition. It has the very desirable thin top. What makes it unique (so far anyway) is a pair of reverse zebra PAFs. I've had a couple of 345's with them but never another 335 with two of them. It has some issues but they aren't major. The covers have been off the pickups but the original covers are back on. It is re-fretted with medium jumbo wire-nice job. It had Schallers but the holes are filled and a set of 59 Klusons with newer tips is on. The headstock is a little beat up but there are no breaks, repairs or major dings other than a scrape on treble side horn. Checking is light. The finish is unusually vibrant with virtually no fade at all. It is a very aggressive guitar and will handle the hardest rock and the most expressive blues. It cracks my top twenty with ease. Unusually clean brown Gibson badged case.
