Blondes have gone through the roof price-wise, approaching six figures with no end in sight. So, when a player grade blonde comes up, it's a real opportunity for someone who wants the real thing but wants to play it not just hang it on a wall or put it in the vault. This is a very early 60-most likely a 59 build but theres no visible factory order number. It is in the high A32xxx range which makes it from the late winter of 60. The neck is the same as a late 59-medium at the first (.825") and fairly chunky at the 12th (.94"). It has some issues. It is a factory Bigsby version. The Bigsby unit itself is later-probably early 70's. You'll note that the "Custom Made" plate is in the wrong place. Well, not only is it in the wrong place but there are stop tail studs under it so if you want to add a stop tail, it will work fine, it will just look odd (Larry Carlton's 335 has it in the wrong place too). There is a minor (and very old and stable) repair in the headstock. See photo. PAFs appear to be original but have had the covers off. No sign rewind. Tuners look to be no line Klusons from the mid 50's. There are holes from SChallers that have been expertly filled.
