This is for the "dot neck snobs" (of whom I'm one). We think dot necks are the top of the 335 heap but every once in a while, a block neck (and usually a 62) comes along and proves that big necks and dot markers aren't necessary for a 335 to be great. This was bought from the original owner who played it for five years and then took it out once or twice a year and strummed it a few times and put it back in its case. It is near mint. The nickel hardware is so shiny, it looks like chrome. The only marks are a bunch of shallow scratches on the back from when the owner loaned the guitar to his guitar teacher who took it on a gig and wore a big belt buckle. 50 some years later, the former owner is still rightfully angry about it. Otherwise, it would be mint. It is stunningly clean and an absolutely terrific player. It's a rocker for sure. Neck is larger than a 61 at .825" at the first fret and .90" at the 12th. Nut width is 1 11/16". Call it medium/slim. Pickups are sealed PAFs. The frets are near perfect and original. The case IS perfect. This is a no issue collector grade guitar. If you need a block neck for the collection or you're a "dot neck" snob like me, do yourself a favor. Play a great 62. You will be pleasantly surprised.
