Have you noticed how pricey block neck 335's have gotten lately? Those prices in the $28K range are scaring away a lot of buyers and I've got the cure for those overpriced blues. We need a grade somewhere between "player" and "collector". You know, the guitars that are nearly all original but not quite-guitars with little issues that you can live with that knock thousands off the price. Call it "player plus" or "collector minus". So that's what we have here. It's a stop tail 62 with a pretty nice neck profile-not the 61 blade at all. This is .83" at the first fret, so closer to a 64 profile than a 61. Twelfth fret is .88" There are some little issues but no extra holes anywhere. The tuners are correct but it had Grovers in the past. Now has single line vintage correct Klusons. The bridge is a Callaham. Here's the only issue of note: the guitar had a Nashville bridge at some point and still has the Nashville bridge inserts with adaptors for correct ABR-1. Fixable by a good luthier but not necessary as it doesn't show and the guitar sounds great. The neck pickup cover has been off and back on. Both pickups are early patents (same as late PAF). I checked the windings on the neck pickup and they are purple as they should be). Tailpiece is repro with correct long studs. Original guard, knobs, harness, truss cover, pickup rings.  Condition is 8.5. Case is original Lifton.
