It's getting really hard to find "Golden Era" Gibsons with original frets. I was happy to see this 64 show up in 9/10 condition and original frets. All parts are either original or vintage correct. Never had a Bigsby. The tuners are Kluson double line and they are likely original even though it shows that it once had Schallers. Late 64's had double lines. Early to mid 64's had single lines. You could look it up but you would probably be looking it up on my site, so take my word for it. They're correct. Medium chunky neck with 1 11/16" nut that everybody likes. Patent number pickups had been opened but I went in and looked before I re-soldered them and there is no sign of repair or rewind. Purple windings identical to late PAFs. They read 7.86K and 8.13K at the jack. Weight is light for a 64 at 7 lbs 13 ounces. This guitar came to me with a poorly made replacement harness with 70's pots. I built a new harness using a matched set of 64 CTS pots and a vintage Switchcraft jack and three way. Super clean black with gold interior Gibson badged case.
