Description

This 65 ES-335 is being sold as a husk-you get the body (with the bridge pins and thumbscrews) and neck and a period hard case (it says Guild on it,so it isn't original but it fits fine). There's good news and not so good news. Good news: Wide nut (just under 1 11/16" at 1.64"), original red finish, Brazilian board, straight neck and drilled for a stop tail with bushings. The not so good: Old, old repair to the headstock-typical Gibson "smile" crack. Is completely stable. The guitar had Schallers on it. There is a heel stinger that doesn't seem to be covering anything up-the guitar is a factory "2" so the stinger could be factory. It blacklights like it is. Anyway, if you've got some parts kicking around and you can't spare $9K for a '65, this'll get you most of the way there for cheap. The neck profile is quite thin but wider than the usual mid sixties 335.
