Description

This Gibson ES-335 was made in the USA in 1968. When we obtained this it was covered in thick layers of dust and grime as if it has been in a barn for several decades, although it was in the original case which was much less dirty though very worn. After thoroughly cleaning it the guitar really came back to life and plays and sounds great. It does look as if it were exposed to some heat or excessive sunlight as several of the inlays are blackened, and some of the binding is slightly funky. The finish is original although on the face of the headstock and one side of the headstock there appears to be some prushed on clear lacquer. There are no breaks, repairs, or other structural damage and the finish on the back of the headstock is original without touchup. The tuners have been changes to Grovers, but otherwise it is all original including the patent sticker pickups which sound excellent. The guitar has been pro-setup in our store and comes with the original case.
