Description

Summary: The ES-335 was introduced in 1958 to bridge the gap between the popular hollow-body instruments of the day, and the newer, more streamlined solid-body models. The semi-hollow design provides a woody, acoustic ring while reducing the sensitivity to feedback that plagues fully hollow guitars.

Body: Dual cutaway semi-hollow design. Arched maple laminate top, back and rims. Solid maple center block. Bound top and back. Nitrocellulose ebony finish.

Neck: One-piece mahogany. Bound rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets and dot inlays. 1960s slim taper profile. 24 ¾ scale length. 1 11/16 nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: Two ’57 Classic humbucker pickups. 3-way pickup selector. Dual volume & tone controls. Nickel Grover tuners. Tune-O-Matic bridge and stop tail piece.

Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition with very light finish scratches that are hard to see unless held in light. There are no cracks, dings or breaks anywhere. The frets are in excellent shape. With its bound ebony body and f-holes, this guitar has a classic, elegant look.

Playability: This guitar plays as smooth as it looks, with low action and no buzz or dead spots. The tone from the humbuckers on the semi-hollow body is rich, woody and soulful.

Weight: 8 lbs, 5 oz.

Case: Hard shell.
