Guitars like this one are tough for me to sell. The rare cherry sunburst finish is the kicker. It isn't for everyone, but it just looks killer on this guitar and it is extremely limited in production as compared to blonde or sunburst examples.

It is such a great player and it sits in what I think is a sweet spot for Gibson collecting. 335s from this era have been noted for some time as being the early and viable attempt by Gibson to get back to its roots after a period that saw some odd decisions and questionable changes to the loved classic models of the 50s and 60s.

As opposed to 335s from the late 60s and 70s, this 335 has the wider 1 11/16' nut. It also has a somewhat slimmer neck profile, unlike DOT reissues of later years that more accurately shape the neck like a fat '59.

The guitar is 100% original and plays perfectly. The frets show some divots but they haven't gone far enough to warrant any work, and there is a ton of life left in them even after they eventually need a fret level. The neck is straight and the truss rod is effective in case it is needed for relief adjustment.

The case is original too, showing some tolex wear as seen in the pics.

A killer player and likely a good investment!
