In 1963 Gibson changed the fret markers on the ES-335 from dots to very classy small block inlays. In addition to this cosmetic change, they also introduced the slim profile neck which players loved. Sales of the guitar increased with these changes and it’s easy to see why. It’s one of the very best versions of this iconic guitar every produced by Gibson.
Check it out. A 1963 Gibson ES-335TD in a gorgeous vintage sunburst finish, with block inlays, early patent sticker pickups, and a factory-original Bigsby tremolo tailpiece. The original frets are in great shape. It has a comfortable 1.65″ nut width to go along with the slim profile neck. This 335 sounds as awesome as you’d expect and it plays fast and smooth.
Very clean with some finish checking, a small patch of buckle rash on the back, and a few nicks and dings here and there. There is no finish wear on the back of the neck but a couple of areas of missing lacquer next to the fingerboard binding. Overall, this guitar is in very good vintage condition.
No modifications and comes with its original hardshell case. Here’s your chance to own an iconic Gibson 335 that will inspire you and serve you well for decades to come.
